Course Overview
Swagelok offers a wide range of fluid system components. This course helps system designers, operators, scientists, and engineers select the right components for the application. The primary focus ensures that system safety is considered throughout the selection process. It also covers the typical criteria that should be used, and how to navigate through product data sheets, and on-line resources to specify the components and optional extras to maximise functionality.

No previous experience or training required.
Course Content
Our Safe Product selection course is an intensive one-day practice of theoretical instruction, which compliments the learning of the Swagelok Tube Fitting Installation course and is therefore usually offered the following day.
Taught by our certified experts, this course lays out critical skills and strong groundwork of knowledge and techniques behind the development and maintenance of fluid system components.
The following key subjects covered, amongst others are:
- PED & PSSR 2000 Overview
- High Integrity Fittings (VCR, VCO, CF, Welded)
- Valve Selection (Ball, Needle, Packless)
- Hose & Quick Connect products
- Pressure Management Products (Pressure Regulators, Gauges)
- Flow Management Products
To conclude the day, the attendees demonstrate their skills learnt by means of a written examination with a required pass mark of 80%.
Qualification
Swagelok Certification of completion, plus wallet card – valid for 3 years
